Parry Labs Case Study
Self-Sufficient on Small Responses
Increase in RFI Output
Freed Up Engineers
The Challenge
Parry Labs is a defense technology company. Their software engineers drive product development, but proposal demands were pulling them in too many directions. Cost estimation alone demanded significant technical attention, and by the time that was done, writing tasks were getting pushed to the final hours before deadlines. Expert input consistently came at the last minute, not because people weren't trying, but because there simply wasn't enough time earlier in the process.
There was another issue: the blank page. Even when team members had the knowledge to contribute to a response, the act of starting from scratch slowed everything down. People who weren't natural writers struggled to get their expertise onto the page. And when a high volume of opportunities came through, the team faced difficult choices about what to pursue and what to let go.
Why GovEagle
Parry Labs looked at a variety of solutions before selecting GovEagle. Two factors made the difference. First, FedRAMP compliance. As a defense contractor, this wasn't optional, and it narrowed the field quickly. Second, the user interface. The team needed something they could adopt without a steep learning curve. GovEagle checked both boxes, and the support team was prompt and attentive throughout the onboarding process, which helped Parry Labs get operational quickly.
The Results
The biggest efficiency gains have been in drafting. The proposal center now uses GovEagle to pull together first drafts from existing materials, then routes those drafts to subject matter experts (SMEs) to refine and take across the finish line. It's an inversion of the old workflow: instead of waiting on engineers to write, the proposal team gets things started and brings in technical expertise where it matters most.
For smaller responses, this means the proposal team can execute independently without pulling in SMEs at all. For more complex efforts, engineers are able to focus their time on cost estimation and technical refinement rather than staring from a blank page. Complex proposals are reaching Pink and Red Teams faster, and in better shape for meaningful review. And opportunities that would have been deprioritized due to bandwidth constraints are now within reach.
What has surprised the team most is GovEagle's responsiveness to their specific needs, treating the relationship as a partnership rather than a typical vendor arrangement.
The Bottom Line
GovEagle removed proposal bandwidth as a limiting factor at Parry Labs. The proposal center runs with autonomy, and engineers stay focused on engineering. When a holiday surge of short-fuse government solicitations hit, GovEagle kept Parry Labs competitive and responsive when timing mattered.
