GovEagle adds amendment tracking to opportunity management
GovEagle now checks the original posting for the opportunities in your pipeline every day and imports new amendment files into the opportunity on its own.
What changed
Until now, someone had to check each posting, download the new files, upload them and tell the team. Now:
- New files land where your team already works. Amendment files are added to the opportunity's solicitation documents automatically.
- A record of what arrived and when. The Activity tab logs each file and its source, for example "SAM.gov added Amendment 0002.pdf."
- Your edits stay put. Importing an amendment never overwrites the summary, key details or requirements your team has edited.
Who it helps
Proposal managers and capture leads running several pursuits at once. When an amendment posts three days before the deadline, the next daily check puts it on the opportunity and in the activity log, without anyone having to go look.
How GovEagle amendment tracking works
- Add an opportunity from SAM.gov or PIEE through Opportunity Search (beta). GovWin opportunities are tracked too for teams with the GovWin integration, which is available on request.
- GovEagle checks the posting daily in every stage except archive, for up to 7 days after the response deadline.
- New amendment files are imported and logged on the Activity tab.
- When you're ready, click Regenerate on the Overview tab and select the amendment files to refresh the summary, key details and requirements.

Where it fits
Amendment tracking is part of GovEagle's capture workspace. Once an amendment is in, you can ask GovEagle to rebuild your compliance matrix and outline from the current solicitation documents. If your Excel matrix already has rows, GovEagle asks whether to clear and repopulate it or update it in place. Nothing changes until you ask.
For why the manual routine breaks down, read why manual amendment tracking fails.
What it doesn't do
- GSA eBuy and manually created opportunities aren't tracked. Upload amendment files for those yourself.
- Nothing regenerates on its own. The summary, requirements, matrix and outline update only when someone asks.
- It doesn't replace reading the amendment. GovEagle brings the files in. Your team decides what the changes mean for the bid.
